Ada Slivanská
Ada Slivanská is a graduate of Prague’s Conservatoire where she studied violin, composition and chamber music and of the Charles University where she studied philosophy, musicology and earned her master's degree in 1986. Even during her studies she established a chamber ensemble Quartetto con flauto with which she won Dusek competition, was laureates of Kromeriz chamber music competition and have recorded 4 CDs and recorded to the TVs and Radios in Czech (quite lot of recordings for Czech radio), Spain, Belgium and USA. Ensemble traveled 2 times in USA (more then 10 concerts each tour), many times in Spain, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Italy, among others. Following her graduation and a one year stint with the Central Bohemia Symphonic Orchestra she joined the Czech Radio Symphonic Orchestra with which she remained until 1999. At present - apart from performing as chamber and solo performer and chamber orchestra player she is a member of Prague’s State Opera Orchestra. At 2005 she was invited to be a leader of the orchestra “Art-N”, and performed several tours in Italy and number of concerts in Prague and Czech Republic. She is a chamber performer, and every year she played lot of concerts. In 2004 she performed at annual festival Schubertiada in Luxemburg Schubert piano trio and in Prague 2005 Beethoven piano trio with Japanese pianist with big acclaim. She appeares like conductor of chamber music courses and player at annual Ameropa chamber music festival and courses during past 10 years and at Madrid’s in Boccherini Festival 2005, Moz-artissimo 2006 and Chamber-Art fesitval 2007. She performed like a soloist with with Camerata filarmonica Bohemia (once of them with renown violinis Semion Yaroshevitch Bach’s double concerto) and performed J. A. Benda’s violin concert with Benda chamber orchestra in summer 2007.
Since 1989 she has also been pursuing managerial and production activities. She was a producer of the recording company Bohemia Music, and JCH Art-Agency. 7 years she was member and manager of the Talich chamber orchestra, where she build this orchestra from quite zero to 70 concerts per year, tours in Japan, Belgium, Germany, etc, and she produced 10 recordings during that period, some of them was conducted by Japan conductor, Hideaki Muto and Japan soloists (piano), with them we tour 2 times through Japan. Then she was 7 years manager of Czech chamber orchestra. After some time this orchestra became one of the leading orchestras with own cycle in Rudolfinum like part of Czech Philharmonic cycles. Ms Slivanska is an impresario of conductor Ondrej Kukal. Like an artistic adviser of the festival Podblanicky hudební podzim, dedicated to Jan Dismas Zelenka, she helps with its dramaturgy and is a web designer of the festival, www.podblanickypodzim.cz. For three years she produces two concert series in small cities in Bohemia with one concert monthly. She is an active member of the Hornforum, the Horn Society of Jan Vaclav Stich Punto” and would like to help with Thematic Catalogue of Jan Vaclav Stich Punto's works and is founder and co-organizer of the The Prague Horn International Music Festival. She is executive director of Ameropa chamber music courses and festival last 10 years. Ms Slivanska is a co-founder and artistic director of non profit organization TIMUC (Terezin International Music Centre). TIMUC will collaborate with the Universities in Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Israel among others and big name international artists and organize concerts, courses, lectures and master classes.
